Skilling the unemployed youth…. Opening up a better future
Adhikar is committed to work for the skilling activities. We focus on unreached areas where the youths are neglected and are not connected to the mainstream nor are they benefitted from the new surge in skill building initiatives. Short term easy to pick skill sets both hard and soft are targeted by Adhikar. The training components include Professional Get Up, Communication and Customer Service, Skill Applicability and Enhancement, Work Skills, Placement and certification.
The ITI of Adhikar was established in the year 2009 at Gania, Nayagarh. It got approval from National Council for Vocational Training in the year 2011. The ITI is sighted on own building with class rooms, tool rooms, demonstration cells, hostels for students stay. The main courses run there are Welder & Electrical as approved by the Council. Till today 236 students have cumulatively qualified from the ITI and placed in the industry at various locations in and outside the state.
Adhikar has tied up with Tata community development project for skill building of youths in the trades like form binding, bar bending.As per agreement, the passed out students are placed as apprentices in different units of TATA across various locations. Till now, 70 students have successfully completed the training course and are placed in different units across the state.
The PMKVY(Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana) program of NSDC was launched in the April 17 at Gania. The training centre offers two courses; Self employed tailoring and Field Sales Executive-Telecom. 60 students from each job roles have started the training. We are planning to double the student strength shortly after finding proper infrastructure. The passed out trainees will be placed in respective industries at various locations. The training centre has laboratories with equipments for practical, computer lab with internet facilities, counseling, library and other amenities to provide an encouraging ambience for quality learning.
